In any case, the performance of the sound system to be selected plays an important role in achieving our goal. Therefore, when we are called upon to make our final selection, we should give particular importance to some parameters, which may certainly change the cost of the system, but remain decisive for the effective completion of the project.
- HOME SOUND SYSTEMSIt is perhaps redundant to refer to the required quality of audio equipment to cover the individual spaces of our home, as it goes without saying that such a system will achieve its purpose only if it correctly reproduces the entire spectrum of acoustic frequencies and can be adapted sonically and aesthetically to the space. So, after we have decided on the number and use of the spaces we want to cover sonically, we should give relative importance to the areas of frequent listening, adapting the choice of individual devices to the available budget. In other words, we should invest perhaps the main part of the budget in the equipment of the living room and home cinema area, and less in the bathrooms and bedrooms. In other cases, the criteria may be different and we may make exactly opposite choices. However, when we reach the stage of individual choices, it would be good to trust those well-known audio equipment manufacturers whose main focus is sound, and not a wide range of products. In conclusion, we will state that we should judge the quality of construction of the individual components of the system not by its generated power, or by its elegant and minimal design, but by the primary materials that compose it and the individual technical characteristics that accompany it. Then, and since we have compensated for the quality of the equipment based on the available budget, then and only then should we adjust our choices based on the required power and exclude machines that cannot be harmonized in design with the surrounding space.

- PROFESSIONAL SOUND SYSTEMSIn the case of professional sound systems, things get even more serious, as the purpose for which we install a sound system goes beyond the narrow limits of our personal entertainment and is reduced to mass entertainment, to information or the announcement of an emergency, and more generally to serving a purpose that will result in professional success, to the extent that it belongs to it. For example, in the case where we want to invest in sound in a restaurant, we should take seriously the quality of the reproduced sound as this will result in the creation of a pleasant atmosphere, the upliftment of the customer - listener, and consequently the increase in consumption. On the contraryIn this case, when the sound effect is of poor quality, then this has the consequence of creating a negative mood, inexplicable annoyance for the general public and consequently, a reduction in consumption in general. Thus, the purpose is not served, at least to the extent that we ourselves would like.Accordingly, in a commercial space, where various advertising spots take place, there is a risk of losing the essence of this act, as the poor quality reproduction of an advertisement can even bring negative results, and repel the prospective consumer from purchasing the product. Similarly, the announcement of an urgent notice, such as for example the one that concerns the information about a fire in a department store, can, when not clear and at the appropriate intensity, be fatal.
- PROFESSIONAL SOUND SYSTEMS
From the above, we conclude that in order to achieve our goal when selecting and installing a system in our professional space, we should keep in mind that there are three basic parameters that should be taken into account and equally influence our final decision, which are:
- The quality of the reproduced sound
- The volume (power) of the reproduced sound, and
- The design of the system based on the overall trends of the space.
